The Jeep Wrangler JL and JT Gladiator Steering Rod Protector is manufactured from precision laser-cut 1/4" (6 mm) aluminum, ensuring excellent strength with minimal added weight. Designed for vehicles equipped with the OEM plastic front bumper, it provides dependable protection for the steering rod while minimizing clearance loss. Recommended as part of ASFIR’s complete underbody protection kit for Jeep models.

Super solid product, easy install.

I was always worried about the OEM plastic guard and figured opting for the aluminum one would be a good investment. Very good quality, easy install, very solid. Considering some additional lightweight aluminum skids.

will this fit the stock steel bumper as well or only the plastic

Fit my Outer Banks with flat tow base plates

Was able to fit the skid plate on my Outer Banks with flat tow hookups with a little reverse engineering. They gave me the ability to be able to return if it didn’t fit, which luckily it did!
