The Toyota Land Cruiser 120/125 / Lexus GX 470 Gearbox & Transfer Case Skid Plate is constructed using high-quality laser-cut 1/4" aluminum, providing maximum strength with minimum added weight.
‌Cleverly engineered to provide optimal protection to the gearbox & transfer case. Recommended using as a part of Asfir's Toyota complete underbody protection kit.
‌‌Designed specifically to complement the Toyota's structure, minimize clearance loss.
‌Built with stiffening and reinforcing ribs to provide even greater strength where needed.
‌‌Directly bolted onto the vehicle's chassis and supported by zinc-coated steel brackets to ensure maximum durability.
‌Designed with ventilation openings to reduce heat build-up alongside drain holes to assure easy removal of pebbles, dirt, or water that may get caught between the skid and the vehicle while offroading.

Great quality. Does not work with diff drop.

Our skid plates are fit-tested only on OEM vehicles with no diff drops, or KDSS unless it is otherwise mentioned
Therefore we cannot guarantee a perfect fit on vehicles with diff drops, or KDSS, however, we know from our customers, you can fit these skid plates by adding some extra spacers where needed.

Nice, lightweight skid!

Just a few fitment issues with the Lexus GX470 but overall a very nice peice. If you are comfortable with doing a little cutting/polishing and adding some spacers then this is the one for you.

During my initial purchase the

During my initial purchase the manufacturer stated that they hadnג€™t seen any of the skid plates installed on 2012 Subaru Foresters with a manual transmission, to date they were only installed on automatics. No modification actions were necessary to the plate or front and rear brackets. I did have to upsize the holes for mounting the center brackets because the centers were half a hole off on both sides. I then used Fender washers in place of the original washers supplied and everything was a perfect fit afterwards. I love this product and recommend it to anyone looking to install a skid plate.
