This 3-piece skid plate kit provides underbody protection for Toyota 4Runner V6 4x4 models without KDSS or diff-drop. Built from 1/4" (6 mm) aluminum, it delivers durability, clearance-friendly fitment, and easy bolt-on installation.

Front Skid Plate (534155) – 1/4" (6 mm) aluminum;
Transmission Skid Plate (534161) – 1/4" (6 mm) aluminum;

We have had them installed for about a month and so far we love them! I do wish there was a port on the engine skid to access the oil filter.

The main reason for this is that we want to ensure the durability of our skid plates. A port in the skid plate would weaken the structure and make it more susceptible to damage.

We understand that this may be an inconvenience for some customers, but our skid plates are designed to be easy to remove and install, so you can still access the oil filter without too much trouble.

Almost good

The skids are well made. However, the brackets at the rear of the transmission skid are a giant pain to use and the provided hardware is not long enough. The install instructions were incredibly vague and questions weren’t answered.

ASFIR makes a great product. I have installed their products on both my Gladiator and our Willys. The 2026 fitment was great, but an absolute pain in the butt to line up the nut in the frame. That took the most time. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for that design idea.

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets), maybe the packers made an error. I could use FOUR additional washers...these are meant to allow better sliding over rocks. PLEASE SEND.
