    Minor problems equal headaches

    The plates themselves are a GREAT product, however some of the bolts in my kit were missing, other places (particularly the transfer case) on MY truck did NOT have any place to thread the bolts into (no rivnut installed on my crossmember, nor included with the kit), so it's just sitting there, secured with only one long bolt on the front and the short ones on the rear.
    The only other complaint I've got is WHY aren't the skid plate mounting bolts actually countersunk or at least a tapered allen head? If I were to catch the ski plate on a rock, I'm SURE I'd start ripping hex head bolts off.
    I wrote about the problems, but haven't heard any solutions yet...although there IS a chance that MY email is screwing up again, so I'm not blaming y'all for that.
    I would buy again, but I'd also have my eyes open this time with rivnuts in hand and new rounded head screws on hand to ensure they don't get ripped off.

    Thanks for your interest in our skid plate kit! No, you do not need to drop or loosen the fuel tank. The fuel tank skid plate is installed without releasing the fuel tank.

    We cannot guarantee a perfect fit without any drillings or modifications as we tested it on a vehicle with diesel engine.

    What is keeping this kit from working with a ram equipped with rear air ride suspension?

    I have no idea how your air ride system is installed. I have rear airbags installed on a 2016 Ram. The kit protects the tanks, cooling and drivetrain components and so there is plenty of space between the kit and suspension.
