    Awesome Skid Plates

    I have not been able to test out the full skid plate set from ASFIR while off-roading, but I wanted to at least review the shipping and installation.

    Communication was great with ASFIR and I received a few updates on the status of my order. Though they came from overseas, shipping was quick and the box arrived intact. No worries at all or wondering about my order.

    Upon installing the skid plate set, the directions were complete and easy to understand. The hardware set was also complete and the aluminum skid plates were just so much easier to install than steel. My cousin and I installed the set in about two hours in his driveway with hand tools. My cousin is a long time off-roader with a tricked out Toyota and he kept telling me how impressed he was the quality and ease of installation of the ASFIR skid plate set! Amazing job on the design and fabrication by ASFIR! Installation was flawless and I can tell the skid plate set is a quality product for a very reasonable cost!

    As you can tell from the picture the install was very easy and very precise on the placing of the skid plates no drilling or modifying during install mounting brackets worked great it’s nice to know that I had in my vehicle is protected from rocks and branches very well-made skid plates

    meh .. win some, lose some.

    I've not yet installed the skids, but I'm honestly thinking that maybe I should've gone with another manufacturer. I'm chafing at two specific issues. One is the lack of access port to the oil filter (I don't want to have to take the skid down every oil change) and what seems to be interference between the rear support for the transmission skid and the sliders on the outside of the rails. I asked for guidance on an approach to the latter and received a completely unhelpful reply, so I turned to the community. For the former I'm likewise turning to the community because of the experience with the first request for support.
    However, I would be remiss if I didn't comment on one aspect that I was entirely delighted with, and that is speed of fulfillment on the order. Ordered Sunday, shipped Monday, cleared customs on Wednesday, and received Thursday May 25. Fantastic.

    Thank you for the feedback, much appriciated!

    As you can see from images on our website, it is very clear that we do not have an oil filter access for certain reasons and decisons of our R&D Team, but no worries, our skid plate is very easy to reinstall each time you change the filter. Also you don't have to remove the whole plate, you can just remove only the front side of it.

    But we'll make sure to forward this matter to our R&D team again so they'll take a look in it.

    As it stated on our website: 'Unless otherwise stated, all products developed on stock...', therefore we cannot suggest or confirm fitment with other aftermarket products.

    Full Album Skidplate kit, Nissan Xterra

    Installed on 2013 Nissan Xterra Pro4X, 6MT. Bolts right up with no drilling required (on a stick vehicle). I have White Knuckle Sliders installed and had to make some mods to get them to fit with the sliders. Be aware of this, if you aftermarket slides you will likely need to make some mids. If you're truck does it have sliders they'll bolt right on.

    Is there a radiator skid for the Xterra for those with the ARB bumper or any other aftermarket front bumper?

    As advetised, all our plates are designed to fit OEM models only. Have not ben tested with any aftermarket bumpers or accessories

    Does this fit an American 2011 exterra?

    It fits 2014 Xterra Pro4X. I have not heard that the frame/undercarriage is any different on a 2011 Xterra. Should be able to be installed without any drama!

    Is there a reason that the compatible model years for the Xterra only goes to 2011 instead of 2015? Just want to make sure I'm not missing something before I order for a later 2nd gen Xterra.

    Hey Nick, We cannot confirm a perfect fit without modifications or drillings as we tested it only on the 2005-2011 models, although there are a couple of customers that made an order for their 2012-2015 Xterra but didn't update us yet, we're trying to catch up with them so stay tuned
