Nicely made

They shipped quickly and bolt up easily. Installation time was under an hour. They seem well made and definitely stopped a few large rocks I kicked up from damaging anything

Improvements needed to make these skid plates perfect

Nice product instructions are basically just a picture I think some improvement could be done in this area… where to look for holes in the frame on your vehicle would be most helpful. as far as the skid plates, they are nice quality and fit well The only issue I have is when driving the car, the vibration resonates due to the plates underneath the frame rubber isolators would probably be a good idea.

I've removed my front steel bumper. Will this still bolt on without a bumper?

Yes, the skid plate can be installed without a front bumper.
The front mounting bracket bolts directly to the vehicle’s frame and does not rely on the bumper.

With this radiator/engine skid plate, how do you access the oil filter? Is there "hatch" that you just remove, or do you have to remove the entire skid plate?

There unfortunately is not an oil filter access. The engine skid plate is however very easy to remove and reinstall.
Tip for removal and installation: if using a hoist use a transmission jack, if in a driveway use a floor jack.

Regrettably, there is no provision for oil filter access. Nevertheless, the engine skid plate is designed to be easily removable and reinstalled.

No hatch. You can access it from the top. I have a 2020 and I just remove the intake hose to get it out of the way and be able to reach down there more easily.

Will this fit my 2011 Nissan Xterra 2wd? I’m converting it to a pre runner and the plastic shield is lame.

Yes, it should fit perfectly on a 2011 4x2 Xterra.

Does the xterra front skid plate include the engine and radiator skid?

Yes. It replaces the plastic or metal skid plate depending on your model. There are tabs to secure your lower bumper to it as well. This skid plate is extremely sturdy yet light enough to install yourself.

I have a 2018 Frontier Pro4x and I’m running two of the stock tow hooks. Will the engine/ radiator skid work with the stock tow hooks?

Yes, i have a 14' pro4x xterra. The drop bracket for the front radiator skid uses the tow hook mount holes. The tow hooks can be re-utilized.

ASFIR makes a great product. I have installed their products on both my Gladiator and our Willys. The 2026 fitment was great, but an absolute pain in the butt to line up the nut in the frame. That took the most time. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for that design idea.

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets)

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets), maybe the packers made an error. I could use FOUR additional washers...these are meant to allow better sliding over rocks. PLEASE SEND.
