This 5-piece skid plate kit provides complete underbody protection for the Jeep Wrangler JL LWB Rubicon, 3.6L gasoline models (2018–2020). Manufactured from precision laser-cut 1/4" (6 mm) aluminum, it offers the perfect strength-to-weight ratio while maintaining clearance. Designed for rugged conditions, it’s the ideal bolt-on upgrade for serious off-road use.

Good fitment. Had a little issue with the fuel tank brackets lining them up with the skid plates. Had to have an extra hand to get the bolts started.

Great product, quality protection, simple-ish install

The skid plates were top quality and provide ample protection. The provided instructions weren't 100% clear on how everything was attached, but it was fairly easy to figure everything out once I got it all opened up a matched to the bottom of the Jeep. The biggest challenge was getting the engine and gear skid plate properly attached on the front drivers side. Getting a tool into the spot to properly tighten it down was near impossible.
Otherwise I love the product so far and am considering buying the battery and fuel tank skid plates.

Great plate, it provides necessary protection and very easy to install. The instructions have a link to a video on how to install. The video could be a bit more detail but it is not complicated to follow.

Install was fast are easy

I thoroughly enjoy the skid plate. Install was fast are easy, it's heavy and durable. Thick aluminum to protect the engine and cooler lines for the 48v battery.
The holes for the pool change don't seem to be large enough, but I'd rather have the coverage. I do remove it to do oil changes, but that is easy with the fit and finish. I would highly recommend it to any Jeep owner.

Modified for 5.7 Hemi

Fit and finish in original state is very good. looks and fits really well. Pretty easy install with the included prints. I had to modify mine to mount up to a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon with a 5.7 Hemi. Used existing mounts and made minor modifications to the motor mount brackets plus extended the oil drain hole towards the back to line up better with the oil pan drain plug. Everything else lined up and bolted into place. Only thing I would like to see is a angle put into the rear as with the way it is now that could be a spot for possibly catching on a rock if you where to backup over one. Plus some flat washers for the rear bolts of the transfer skid plate bolt pucks. The bolt heads like to dig into them when tightening them up. I have not used them yet, but as is, I would recommend them, as they look good and looks like they will do the job they are intended for. Fair price and quick shipping to the USA.

Great supplement to stock skid plates!

Installed these for a recent trip to the Rubicon Trail on my stock JLR with 35s. The new skids were a big reason we made it through. They allowed us to slide over rocks I know would have hung up on stock skids. These things took an absolute beating. I'm truly impressed and would highly recommend these to anyone. I see no reason to pay more or add unnecessary weight as with other skids. I feel these skid plates endured the ultimate test and are ready for more. Thank you!

Good, aluminum skid plate

Purchased this for our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Hadn't really heard of this company before I did some research. Shipping was prompt. The product seems to be of good quality and the fitment was good. I was not looking for an entire under body skid plate solution as I am not doing any rock crawling. I was looking for some basic protection of the engine/oil pan and this "fit the bill" at a reasonable price. Even with shipping I thought the pricing was good. Installation was relatively easy and can be accomplished with hand tools. The only difficult part of the installation was trying to reach my hand in a tight spot to put the bolts in the left front mounting bracket. Other than that, all good.

Good, but needs more engineering.

There is a section of this skid that is under the exhaust system that is very vulnerable to damage, so that's good, however there are holes that take some of the strength out of the skid in that area. I know this babies mine is permanently dented after sliding over some rocks. Not hard hits, just the weight and load forces from the Gladiator. Not sure how many more times it will hold. I contacted ASFIR about this and they did respond, telling me they would look into it. I have not heard back. So good, because it did protect that vulnerable section, but not great because its a little weak.

Our skid-plates are fabricated out of aluminum as we believe it allows maximum protection with minimum weight added.
Aluminum is very different from steel, therefore every user should consider his needs and priorities.

The section under the exhaust system was designed to prevent overheating while staying protected in one of the most heated areas in the undercarriage.

Another great benefit for the aluminum is that it bends as part of the protection so it doesn't transmit the shock to the chassis,
and in addition to that, it can be aligned back very easily so you can continue the usage.

Easy install with minimal instructions

Everything is fitting well. Started with the engine skid plate and figured out where it went. It would be helpful for a photo or diagram of where the brackets need to go. It looked like two possible locations on the driver side. I was able to figure it out and didn't have issues.

Installed the engine skid and the trans case skid on my 2021 JLU Rubicon 2L. I actually mis-installed the drivers side mount by not getting it in between the frame rail and the engine mount bolt end (where it sticks through the mount). Because the mount was actually bending when I tightened the bolt, I broke the bolt in the special nut with a tail on it.

You guys were gracious enough to send out a new nut and bolt, and I was able to bolt the skids in successfully in 45 min or so. They are on and working well...just returned from a week in SW Colorado.

I have been promoting you guys to friends...good quality, reasonable price, good service, great shipping. Thanks!

ASFIR makes a great product. I have installed their products on both my Gladiator and our Willys. The 2026 fitment was great, but an absolute pain in the butt to line up the nut in the frame. That took the most time. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for that design idea.
