I’ve been debating of getting this after other 3 pieces I got earlier in 2023 for my 2022 Jeep Rubicon Eco-Diesel. I called Tech Support asking specific details if this will fit a modified rear bumper but they couldn’t tell me a straight forward answer for this is a fit for a factory bumper. So I took a chance & thank God I did for it does fit my Rubicon where I have replaced my rear bumper. :+1:

These plates are GREAT for the money. I put them through some of the toughest trails in Moab this week and they are still hanging on strong. Scrapes are to be expected, but they aren’t deforming or shearing at all. Plenty of protection putting them through hell on Metal Masher and Steel Bender. You won’t be disappointed!

No, it attaches to frame. steel bumper would cover some of these mounting points and would require drillings, but plastic bumper doesn't cover these points, so basically you can fit it on plastic rear bumper or no bumper at all.

No, the skid plate attaches independent of the rear bumper.

No, the holes on the bumper side of the skid line up with the mounting holes for the OEM steel bumper. It will mount up fine without a bumper.

No, it attaches to the frame of the Jeep. You should be able to attach it with no issues.

As a side note, if you are considering putting an OEM steel bumper on you will need to cut two tabs off the bumper where it bolts to the frame. The plastic bumper does not have these bolts.

Why will this not work with the OEM steel bumper? Was hoping to buy the hole system. Thanks!

We developed it on the Plastic OEM rear bumper, so we cannot guarantee a perfect fit on the steel one.
You can order it for your steel bumper but you'll have a couple of missing mounting points which would require some drilling.

Fit my Outer Banks with flat tow base plates

Was able to fit the skid plate on my Outer Banks with flat tow hookups with a little reverse engineering. They gave me the ability to be able to return if it didn’t fit, which luckily it did!
