This 3-piece skid plate kit delivers full underbody protection for the Jeep Wrangler JK LWB (Unlimited) with 3.8L engine. Manufactured from precision laser-cut 1/4" (6 mm) aluminum, it provides maximum strength with minimal added weight. Designed for durability and clearance, it’s the ideal bolt-on upgrade for off-road performance.

2008 JKU 3.8 4 Doors...Question is, does the Fuel Tank Skid go over the OEM Factory fuel skid or do I remove it for install of your skid.

The ASFIR fuel tank skid installs over the factory fuel tank skid. The OEM skid should remain in place and does not need to be removed for installation.

ASFIR makes a great product. I have installed their products on both my Gladiator and our Willys. The 2026 fitment was great, but an absolute pain in the butt to line up the nut in the frame. That took the most time. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for that design idea.

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets)

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets), maybe the packers made an error. I could use FOUR additional washers...these are meant to allow better sliding over rocks. PLEASE SEND.
