The Jeep Gladiator JT EcoDiesel Fuel Tank Skid Plate is built from high-quality, laser-cut 1/4" (6 mm) aluminum, offering reliable protection with minimal added weight.
Tested on Rubicon and Sport models with the 3.0L diesel engine, it’s designed to safeguard the fuel tank during off-road driving while maintaining ground clearance. Recommended as part of ASFIR’s complete underbody protection kit.

For the Jeep Gladiator 3.0 diesel fuel skid plate replace the factory skid or does it go over top of the factory plate?

Hi, thanks for reaching out.
Our skid replaces the factory fuel tank shield. It mounts directly to the original mounting points using the OEM bolts, so the stock plate is removed during installation.

ASFIR makes a great product. I have installed their products on both my Gladiator and our Willys. The 2026 fitment was great, but an absolute pain in the butt to line up the nut in the frame. That took the most time. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for that design idea.

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets)

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets), maybe the packers made an error. I could use FOUR additional washers...these are meant to allow better sliding over rocks. PLEASE SEND.
