The RAM 1500 Fuel Tank Skid Plate is manufactured from high-quality laser-cut 1/4" (6 mm) aluminum, combining strength with minimal added weight. Engineered to shield the fuel tank from off-road impacts, it is designed to integrate with the RAM 1500’s structure while minimizing clearance loss. Recommended as part of ASFIR's complete underbody protection kit.

Ram 1500 - Fuel tank skid plate

ASFIR 4X4 produces quality skid plates for 2018 Ram 1500. This particular Ram generation has been under served when it comes to under body protection. ASFIR has been able to provide much needed equipment for the Ram 1500. I like taking my truck through the roads less travel and ASFIR has allowed me to do so with confidence.

Hi, I have a 2017 Ram 1500 limited crew cab short bed. I am looking for a skid plate for the gas tank on this Truck. Would you have any set up for this truck?

We tested it on a Quad cab with Long bed, and we are not sure how it affects the fitment of this gas plate on such model of yours.
It is also tested on on 26gal/98liter fuel tank.

ASFIR makes a great product. I have installed their products on both my Gladiator and our Willys. The 2026 fitment was great, but an absolute pain in the butt to line up the nut in the frame. That took the most time. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for that design idea.

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets)

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets), maybe the packers made an error. I could use FOUR additional washers...these are meant to allow better sliding over rocks. PLEASE SEND.
