This skid plate was designed and tested on 2500/3500 HD models with a standard bed. While the drivetrain area is usually similar, we don’t have confirmed fitment for the 8 ft bed configuration, so we can’t officially say it will fit.

Will this fit a 2021 GMC 3500 diesel with a long bed? (only listed with the standard bed). Also is this used in combination with the front skid plate or will this cover the front area also?

Not tested on a vehicle with long beed and as such cannot confirm the fit. Does not cover the front -need the front plate for this.

ASFIR makes a great product. I have installed their products on both my Gladiator and our Willys. The 2026 fitment was great, but an absolute pain in the butt to line up the nut in the frame. That took the most time. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for that design idea.

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets)

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets), maybe the packers made an error. I could use FOUR additional washers...these are meant to allow better sliding over rocks. PLEASE SEND.
