Do to take plate off to access the oil drain plug and oil filter

No, the skid plate does not need to be removed for oil changes. The plate does not cover the oil drain plug or oil filter area.

the skid plates for 2019 chevy silverado 1500 4x4 says that they are only configured for "crew cab models" will they fit extended/ double cab models as well without modification

These skid plates were designed and tested specifically for Crew Cab models. We haven’t tested them on Extended or Double Cab configurations, so we can’t confirm fitment for those models without modification.

ASFIR makes a great product. I have installed their products on both my Gladiator and our Willys. The 2026 fitment was great, but an absolute pain in the butt to line up the nut in the frame. That took the most time. I would have given 5 stars if it were not for that design idea.

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets)

The installer could not find enough washers (grommets), maybe the packers made an error. I could use FOUR additional washers...these are meant to allow better sliding over rocks. PLEASE SEND.
