Ford Bronco Rock Sliders

I’ve been running ASFIR 4x4’s rock sliders on my 2021 Ford Bronco Big Bend 4-door for 8 months, and they’ve more than proven themselves. I installed them myself, it took about two hours once I got my old slider steps off. From the moment they were bolted up, they’ve been solid and dependable.

I've been through all kinds of terrain with them, crawling Fissure Mountain in Johnson Valley, technical lines in Sand Hollow, and the tight granite trails of Gold Mountain and John Bull in Big Bear. Also seen plenty of desert work through Ocotillo Wells and Anza-Borrego, and even some soft sand at Oceano Dunes. These sliders have taken hits, slides, and full-body-weight smashes without a single structural issue.

The protection they offer is on point. My old setup was body-mounted and would flex under pressure and even bent my rocker panel once. With the ASFIR sliders being frame-mounted, I haven’t had to worry about that since. They’re low-profile and sit flush with the frame, which offers better protection where it actually matters. Because of my 3" body lift, they look slightly dropped compared to the body line, but that hasn’t been a problem. If I could change anything, I’d love to see them angle up just a bit more for even tighter clearance, but honestly, they haven’t hung up once, even on the more technical lines.

One of the things I really appreciate is that they strike the perfect balance between function and performance. My wife and son use them as a step all the time, but they don’t stick out so far that they compromise clearance or get in the way on tight trails. They’re quiet, no rattles, and the mix of aluminum and steel has kept them both strong and lightweight.

I’ve had a lot of people ask me about them on trail runs, especially when they see how well they hold up to abuse while still being practical. I always tell them the same thing: they’re a perfect option for anyone who wants real off-road protection without giving up the everyday usability of a step. These aren’t just for overlanders or mall crawlers, they’re for people who actually wheel.
