    My instructions for installation

The shipping was great. It came quickly.

I installed the skid plate by myself. I use a hydraulic floor jack to hold the plate in place while I bolted it down. I started with loosening but NOT removing the factory bolts holding the gas tank in place. Then, starting with the front, I began to work my way back installing the new brackets to both the vehicle and skid plate. I removed one loose bolt at a time. As you work back towards the rear, do the bolts on both sides as you work back. Remember to leave the bolts loose so you can shift the skid plate around to get everything aligned. The second rear skid plate goes underneath the front skid plate. After all brackets and bolts are in place, I then tighten them up. I do not know what the torque specs are. I also used Locktite to keep the bolts from vibrating out. It was fairly easy to install.

Thank you for sharing your detailed installation instructions, David. We appreciate your professionalism and expertise. If you have any further questions or need assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Note that we have video installation instructions in the 'Installation' tab at the product page

    Review of the reviewer

I got the skids after watching Matt from Ozark Overland Adventures (thanks Matt) Amazing fit took me about an hour.

    Some tips.
Pre-assemble and make sure you know what hardware goes with what bracket.

I wish this was more clear on the instructions. With that said it’s very easy to find the right placement.

I was doing the installation by myself, so I used the scissor jack from my gladiator to help me lift the plate into place.

You will also need a 12 inch socket extension.

    Also fast shipping

    I highly recommend this product.

    Thanks for the feedback Chris!
We are currently working on installation videos but for now we have Matt's installation video on the product page at the 'installation' tab which is also great and might help until we'll make one for this fuel skid plate :)
