Straightforward Enough

All went well apart from one bolt that was misaligned by an inch or more and could not be installed, but was not consequential in securing the plate. Wish I'd thought to take a photo while it was up on the rack. If I remember, I'll do that and forward it to you next time it's up in the air.

Adjust for 2019 and newer models

It is indeed a sturdy and well made skid plate. One downside is that adjustments have not been made for 2019 Models (and up) for different placement of oil filter. By careful cutting of plastic inner fender it's possible to replace filer without skid plate removel. Other than that it's great

During my initial purchase the

During my initial purchase the manufacturer stated that they hadnג€™t seen any of the skid plates installed on 2012 Subaru Foresters with a manual transmission, to date they were only installed on automatics. No modification actions were necessary to the plate or front and rear brackets. I did have to upsize the holes for mounting the center brackets because the centers were half a hole off on both sides. I then used Fender washers in place of the original washers supplied and everything was a perfect fit afterwards. I love this product and recommend it to anyone looking to install a skid plate.
